The Lord wants His people to live in total victory. This means that for us to operate in his authority, we have to surrender our sinful desires and useless distractions. Drugs and alcohol often create more problems than what people believe they solve. These substances should never create a stronghold in the life of a believer. We serve Jesus and are filled with His Spirit, not with the addictive pleasures of a sinful world.
