When we speak to God from our soul, we speak in our own language. Yet God has given us a blessing that comes with the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and this is the ability to speak in unknown tongues, or languages that come from our spirit. Sometimes referred to as a ‘prayer language’ or a ‘heavenly language’, these words are given to us by the Holy Spirit and we do not know what we are speaking. We speak only to God in these languages and regardless of what it may look or sound like, it is not of this earth. It is directly from God.
